Attendance Support and Leave of Absence
At OLSB we take attendance and punctuality seriously as missing school is learning lost. Please find further information in the booklets below to give all parents and carers vital information to support all children being in school every day and on time.
If you are wanting to request a leave of absence, please click the link below to access the E-Form that has been introduced by Bradford Council.

Parent Support Sessions for Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)
If your child is finding it difficult to attend school because of feelings of worry, anxiety or stress, you are not alone. Bradford's Educational Psychology Team is offering a series of free parent support sessions designed to help families understand Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and provide practical strategies to support children.
These supportive sessions offer parents and carers the opportunity to:
- Learn more about EBSA and how it can affect children.
- Gain practical ideas to help support their child.
- Share experiences and hear from other parents in a safe and welcoming environment.
- Better understand what support schools can provide.
There are a number of online and face-to-face sessions available throughout the year. Please see the dates below for upcoming sessions. Places must be booked directly with the Educational Psychology Team, and attendees are expected to attend all four sessions within their chosen programme.
