About Us
Our Lady & St Brendan's is a 'highly welcoming school where leaders, governors and staff work with determination to ensure that every pupil succeeds... Leaders place pupils' personal development at the heart of the school's work' OFSTED Strong standard for Inclusion (June 2026)
'Leaders provide a wide range of opportunities that enrich pupils' experiences. Pupils speak enthusiastically about these opportunities and how they enhance their experience of school... pupils discover new interests, develop their talents and raise their aspirations for the future' OFSTED Strong standard for Personal development and wellbeing. (June 2026)
As a school, we are incredibly proud to have achieved the strong standard in both inclusion and personal development and wellbeing as we feel these are crucial in ensuring our children enjoy school and feel proud of their unique gifts, talents and achievements.
Outdoor experiences are essential to a child's development, and at OLSB, our Forest School and Opal (Outdoor Play and Learning) opportunities ensure children are physically active in their joyful play as they deepen their learning through new experiences.
Our engaging teaching of the curriculum ensures children achieve well. They try hard to achieve their best and learn to show care and respect towards other. Our children are polite, behave well and know they are loved and feel safe in the trusted relationships built with staff. This is a significant strength in OLSB as we ensure all children are seen, heard and encouraged to be their best.
